Em Março chega à minha caixa de emails uma surpresa da vida: uma proposta para guiar uma crew por Lisboa e participar no novo programa de viagens de Michael Portillo, para o Channel 5 UK.
Que emoção! Reli algumas vezes.
A minha timidez puxava-me o pé, mas decidi arregaçar as mangas e aceitar.
Conheci uma equipa de filmagens fantástica. Muito risonhos, curiosos, interessados, bem dispostos e criativos.
Falamos sobre Lisboa no geral, mas visitamos mais profundamente Alfama. Percorremos as ruelas, os miradouros, a street art, o Fado, a vida de Santo António e a sua festa, a gastronomia, os cantos e recantos de parte da alma desta cidade.
Semanas depois voltaram para filmar, e finalmente conheci o Michael.
Que gentileza.
Estava nervosa, mas o sorriso, o incentivo de todos, a calma, a conversa fluída, a generosidade de Michael, foi um presente maravilhoso que tornou esta experiência uma das boas memórias da minha vida.
Passamos horas em Alfama, que em TV foram reduzidas a minutos, mas que bons minutos (os de aparência física, porque de pesquisa está lá muito)!
Sinto-me muito feliz por ter podido contribuir para este episódio sobre a minha cidade.
Por enquanto, ainda não tem previsão de estreia em Portugal, mas se conseguirem encontrar, espero que gostem e que vos faça sorrir enquanto recordam a vossa viagem a Lisboa, ou que vos aguce o apetite, e vos faça reservar já a vossa visita a esta cidade que tem tanto para descobrir.

In March 2024, a little life's surprise arrived in my email box: a request to guide a crew around Lisbon and participate in Michael Portillo's new TV show for @channel5_tv : Michael Portillo's Long Weekends
What a thrill! I reread it a few times.
My shyness was holding me back, but I decided to roll up my sleeves and accept it.
I met a fantastic film crew from @curvemediatv
We talked about Lisbon in general, but we visited Alfama in a more detailed way - we explored the alleys, the viewpoints, the street art, Fado, the life of Santo António and his festival, the gastronomy, pieces that are part of the soul of this city.
Weeks later they returned to film the episode, and I finally met Michael Portillo.
I was nervous, but the smiles, everyone's encouragement, the calm, the fluid conversation, Michael's generosity, were a wonderful gift that made this experience one of the good memories of my life.
We spent hours in Alfama, which on TV were reduced to minutes 😀 but I'm so grateful for them (those of physical appearance, because there is a lot of behind the scenes work)!
I feel very happy to have been able to contribute to this episode about my city, that premiered on Channel 5 UK, on 24th August 2024.
